Alcohol Detox - Identifying the Problem Behind the Addiction
By Chonticha Marijne

Alcoholism has spread like an epidemic everywhere around the globe. It is not only the young, but also the older people who are succumbing to alcohol addiction. It is often difficult to detect if a person is an alcoholic because they may have been drinking and yet doing all the work and activities that any “normal” person does. They are called functional alcoholics as they are very unaware of their problem, having always been able to perform all the day-to-day activities.

That is the reason why many people continue to drink and eventually get addicted to it. It is difficult to combat alcoholism and it if you choose to do so, it is a life-long battle which you have to fight. You need to have the will, determination and more importantly, the motivation, to see it through. Some people also get involved in various self-help groups where they meet others who are battling the same problem and can offer support to one another.

Alcoholism is hard to detect, but once you know what the problem is, then alcohol detox is the next step. While going through this, you may experience many symptoms of withdrawal, which are not at all pleasant. Some people have alcohol detox symptoms like tremors, where you begin to shake involuntarily and uncontrollably. These tremors are quite noticeable as you will not be able to hold anything in your hands, because you are shaking restlessly. Some people may even experience abdominal pains accompanied by vomiting. This happens as a result of the alcohol detox, when the body starts to rid itself of the harmful toxins which have been stored inside the body for so long.

Some even suffer from physiological problems and have psychosomatic symptoms. The thought of giving up alcohol makes them angry and overwhelms them. They can even become violent suddenly, when it is least expected. They may behave unpleasantly without knowing it and will only realize it when they have come to their senses.

It is important to know and identify the problems behind the addiction. Participating in support groups can play a very positive role for the alcoholic in fighting against drinking. This way he or she can open up and talk freely about their feelings and concerns with others who are also going through alcohol detox or have already gone through it. The person needs to have emotional support from family and friends as well, as this can help him or her undergo the therapy, knowing that they are not alone and that there are people around who care for them.

Nutritional therapies and medications are also known to be helpful to control alcohol detox symptoms. Vitamin B6 is also given, as according to research, this is a vitamin that seems to deficient in many alcoholics. Supplements are given to fight the urge for alcohol. Seeking help from a trained professional is the wisest thing that you could do. To overcome this destructive disease, there are support groups, medical and alternative therapies available. With will, determination and the willingness to deal with the problems behind the addiction, you can come out of it.

Make Time For A Weight Loss Program
By Raymond Burton

Question: How do I make time for a weight loss program when my life is so busy?

Answer: We can make time for anything that is a priority. If you are late for work and are running around the house trying to find your keys and really, really, really need to use the washroom you are going to make time to do it.

Basically if you want time to devote to your weight loss program then you are going to have to make that time. There will always be things that will want to slide in and gobble up your time. TV is probably the worst people with no respect for your time are probably second. I frequently hear my clients say that they were planning to get on the treadmill at home or were heading to the gym but their spouse came home late. Or their spouse needed to have super on the table.

There are times in your life where you are going to have to come first. Sometimes that requires getting up early before everyone else and sometimes it requires that you put your foot down and say that from 5-6PM every second day is YOU time. No exceptions.

If you are scared to say this sort of thing or couldn’t imagine being so selfish, then I can hear the smacking jaws of emotional issues eating at you on the insides. Let me ask you a question to show you how important it is to make time for yourself and your weight loss program. Here it goes “When are you most likely to happily share your last bit of chocolate cake with someone?” The answer? WHEN YOU ARE FULL.

When you are full and happy inside is when you have the most to offer other people. In fact sometimes making time for yourself is the best way to make sure you can give the most to the people around you. If you are still hungry, even sharing the smallest bit will fill you with resent towards the person that wants what you have.

So how do you make time for a weight loss program when your life is so busy? You take it. You take care of yourself, and organize your priorities so that you will have more to give in the long run. This is what we mean when we say that your health is your greatest investment and that you shouldn’t spend half your life chasing wealth and then the second half spending your wealth to regain your health.

Hope that helps,

Easy Weight Loss: 3 Practical Tips That Work
By Jamie Clark

Losing weight naturally and safely doesn t have to be as difficult as you might think. In fact, most people can experience relatively easy weight loss by simply “getting out of the way” of their body s own fat-burning mechanisms. Listed below are 3 simple, practical, and proven tips for losing weight as easily as possible. Try them out for a few weeks and watch the fat melt off!

1. Get out of your own way — follow the ABC diet!

The first step to losing weight with a minimum amount of effort is to stop eating and drinking things that make it difficult to drop body fat. Many fitness and fashion models stay slim by following the “ABC diet” — no alcohol, no bread, and no (simple) carbohydrates. Basically they avoid the “Big 3″ metabolism-slowing, fat-creating substances that most overweight people consume on a regular basis.

If you really want to experience easy weight loss, try cutting out all alcohol, bread, pasta, fried foods, and sugar from your diet for a few weeks. These things “clog” your system, increase your fat stores, and kill your energy levels. Eliminating them from your diet will really make a big difference and you ll begin to look and feel much better pretty quickly.

2. Don t ever let yourself get hungry… EVER!

Hunger and food-cravings can kill any weight loss plan, no matter how motivated you are. Keep yourself on the right track by “grazing” on healthy snacks throughout the day. High-fiber foods like veggies, fruits, seeds, and nuts are your best choices. Plan healthy meals and snacks ahead of time — don t wait until the last second to figure out what you re going to eat!

Keep a bag of healthy trail mix with you and grab a handful every few hours. Eat a spoonful of natural peanut butter as soon as your start to get hungry. Sip ice water and green tea throughout the day. Chew on sugar-free mint gum to kill food cravings. Basically, do whatever it takes to keep yourself from getting hungry — you ll find that it will make losing weight MUCH easier.

3. Protein shakes are your friends.

When you re trying to lose weight naturally, protein shakes are a huge help. A properly made protein shake is extremely healthy and full of hunger-killing, fat loss-boosting protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Most importantly, it is delicious! A protein shake sweetened with a healthy sugar substitute like xylitol or stevia can really hit the spot when you re craving something sweet.

Base your shakes on whey protein powder, low-fat milk (or rice/soy/oat/almond milk), and fresh or frozen fruit. Throw in some ground flax seeds, almonds, and/or natural peanut butter to increase the “good fat” content and to make your shakes more filling. There are hundreds of healthy protein shake recipes out there so be sure and experiment to find one that suits your tastes.

In Search of the Perfect Safe Weight Loss Program?
By Neil Day

Many may decide on taking on the challenge - in the hopes of reaping the benefits - of a safe weight loss program. However, not all who undertake that steep and difficult road to dieting and a safe weight loss program have followed through the weight loss course and succeeded. Aside from the fact that not everyone has the same threshold of tolerance as far as dieting and physical exercises are concerned, some weight loss programs can and do have effects on the physical as well as the psychological well-being of the person without him or her even knowing it. Thus, safe weight loss programs may have adverse or negative effects on a person if these are not properly given or administered by a health
instructor or nutritionist or it is not well followed through by the person.

This, however, has not prevented people from discovering more methods of weight loss, hoping that they might eventually encounter a safe weight loss program that is just appropriate for their body and their lifestyle.

Most safe weight loss programs come in the form of diets. These diets have a strict dietary plan to follow for each day of the week and usually depends on the body type or the lifestyle and activities engaged in by the person. Usually, these diets may consist of fruits and vegetables with smaller amounts of other variable foods to balance the diet.

Other safe weight loss programs include a diet of low-carbohydrates and low-fat foods. It must be carefully noted by anyone attempting to develop a safe weight loss program that these food diet plans must be given by a health authority or a dietician who best knows what your body needs with respect to your daily activities.

Some programs may also include a health or dietary supplement to help boost the body’s energy and help reduce fat and sugar while regulating food intake. One commonly used natural weight loss supplement that has been getting rave reviews for its safe performance and results is Calotren.

Calotren has been known to be safe to use. Aside from it being able to help people achieve a lower weight, Calotren does not have the negative side effects of other weight loss supplements such as producing a change in sleeping habits, change from a regular bowel movement to an irregular bowel movement, and complaints of tiredness which is due perhaps to the presence of caffeine in some weight loss supplements that promote fast metabolism.

The ideal safe weight loss program, however, is one that should incorporate a healthy and balanced diet, a healthy lifestyle free from excessive alcohol intake and unnecessary caffeine and nicotine, and a regular - though not necessarily strenuous - exercise regimen, as well as a healthy outlook in life.

For more information to help you find a safe weight loss program, vist the Calotren review site right now. Get the latest news, advice and answers to all your safe weight loss program questions at http://www.calotrenreview.com.
