The aerobics phase follows the warm-up. The aerobics section is mainly aimed at improving cardiorespiratory endurance and body composition and uses large body movements performed continuously so that the heart rate remains elevated.

An aerobics class always ends with stretching and relaxation exercises. The cool-down is designed to lower the heart rate, help prevent muscle soreness, enhance flexibility and re-establish homeostasis or equilibrium.

Behavior Change Tips For Your Healthy Lifestyle - Part 1

“How do I change a behavior I don t want?” This is one of the most frequent healthy living questions people ask. It shows up over and over among my wellness coaching participants, usually in connection with a specific change the person wants to make.

Like these -

* I want to stop evening snacking.
* I want to get to bed earlier in the evening.
* I want to eat smaller portions when dining with friends.
* I want to choose healthier foods when eating in a restaurant.
* I want to exercise more.

Ready? Here we go with some tips.

Tip #1: Find and resolve conflicts with what you say you want.

I know you want it. Honest. However, I am suggesting that you also want something else that conflicts with it. You ll be more successful when you know what it is.

Examples:

* Comfort from eating foods mom used to serve
* The pleasure of taste
* Rewarding myself for hard work
* Exerting control over one part of my life when it seems everything else is beyond my control
* To be able to do whatever I want with no consequences
* Sympathy for my busy life &amp hard work

You might call these things “side effects” of the behavior you want to change. Between you and me, though, there s really no such thing as a side effect. There are only effects. Some of them you want and some you don t. In this case, sometimes your desire for the “side effect” drives a behavior you really don t want.

Once you distinguish what s really going on, the trick is to find another way to address the desired “side effect” more directly.

Tip #2: Word your desired behavior in terms of what you “do want” rather than what you don t.

It s much easier to choose a desired behavior than to not choose something you don t want. Often things come to our attention through the language of what we don t want.

Examples:

* I don t want to eat after dinner.
* I don t want to stay up so late.
* I don t want to feel stuffed after I eat.

The solution in this case is quite simple. Write down exactly what you don t want, just like I did above. Please don t do this in your head. Writing clarifies exactly what you re going for.
Then switch the sentence around to what you do want instead.

Examples:

* I want to finish my last meal or snack by 7:00 pm.
* I want to be in bed by 11:00 pm.
* I want to eat just enough to feel pleasantly satisfied when finished.

Ok, that s two tips. Think them over. Try them out.

You should always have health insurance if at all possible. That being said, there are some basic issues you consider and understand before buying it.

Perhaps the most common question I hear is, “what is the best plan for me?” The simple fact is there is no best plan for every situation. The best choice for you is dependent upon your health, family situation, income and so on. It is also important to understand that plans differ in how much you pay in premiums and how easy it is to get the services you need. No plan is going to pay for your entire medical care, but some will definitely pay more of the cost than others. The basic approach requires you to pay a premium for coverage, a deductible and co-payments on each visit to a medical professional.

The most common health care plan is through an HMO. The term refers to a Health Maintenance Organization. As a member of the HMO, you select a primary physician from an approved list of medical care providers. You then visit that person for all of your medical needs. If you need something beyond this person, they will make referrals to the specific specialist. If you go to another doctor first or outside of the approved list of care providers, you may be stuck paying the entire bill. The one exception to this is emergency care, which the HMO will cover.

A PPO is a step up from an HMO is service and cost. The term refers to a Preferred Provider Organization. The primary difference is you can go to a specialist without getting a referral from a primary doctor. Depending on the plan, you can also get some coverage for care from a doctor outside the approved list of medical providers. With this flexibility, of course, comes a higher cost and deductible.

A fairly new health care solution on the market is the medical IRA. Known more formally as a Health Savings Account, this is a savings account with a tax advantage. The idea is you save money each year in an account to pay for your real health care costs. The money is contributed pre-tax, which is nice. You then use the money as need. You also acquire a “catastrophic” insurance policy to cover any situation where you incur massive medical bills such as during an extended hospital stay.

Obviously, this is a basic introduction to health care cover issues. There are kinds of hybrid plans out there and different ways of approach the issue. That being said, the above represents the nuts and bolts of health coverage and the most commonly used strategies.
